Chronicle
I joined Chronicle’s founding team to build a product from 0→1. Over the next five years, I worked on the multiplayer canvas, widget platform, template and media libraries, exports, and Muse - Chronicle’s AI assistant.
Widget platform and canvas
I built Chronicle’s first freeform multiplayer canvas with Yjs and ProseMirror, then designed the first widget spec and the services around it.
The widget platform handled collaboration and rich text in one place, so each widget could stay small. Engineers could build with plain JavaScript objects and methods instead of handling Yjs CRDTs and text editor mechanics themselves.
Muse
I built Chronicle’s template system and integrated it with Muse so the agent could find a matching template and turn a user’s notes into a draft slide already laid out in that design.
I rebuilt Remix so people could instantly change a slide’s layout using templates, with an LLM pipeline behind the flow. I also built agent tools that let Muse find brand information and logos.
Media library, embeds and exports
I built Chronicle’s media library and the infrastructure for turning pasted links into live embeds. I also owned the export pipeline that turned decks into PDFs, PNGs, and GIFs.
